BERNAT GARRIGOS is Director of Aniol SL. since 2005. He has been making underwater video for many years, and took many courses, yet never reached the professional level he sought. In 2017, he founded the Project Alive Foundation and embarked on an ambitious project in collaboration with the Scientists at the World register of marine species and Lynx Foundation to create a world database of photographs and videos and the first world catalogue of all underwater taxonomic groups. This free internet database made of still photographs and video of vertebrate, invertebrate and aquatic plants aims to improve our knowledge of marine species and help the conservation of some of the most endangered and unknown communities on the planet. Bernat turned to Liquid Motion Academy to help him reach the professional level of underwater filmmaking and photography he needed for such an ambitiously successful project.
