What to expect
Before the retreat, the Journey begins in a live, personalised online group get together. Meet your tribe, your passionate community of like-minded artists, visionaries, creators, storytellers from all over the world. Be empowered, feel connected.
Over 5 live, remote classes, you will learn, assimilate and master the fundamentals of moving picture. Covering the academics and foundations of underwater camera operation, the theory of underwater videography, and cutting edge key knowledge in cinematography, you will be ready to take it all underwater. Your adventure has begun!
During week one, your underwater learning experience begins.
Get hands-on. Feel inspired, excited, in harmony in a beautiful underwater classroom, as you master your dive skills and diving techniques for film. Transform, as you begin to practise, apply, experience and move towards success. Be empowered, with daily guidance, assistance, support, encouragement, training and critique customised to you and your group, with Guy and Anita Chaumette as your Mentors.
Week two will see you feeling comfortable, at ease, proficient with your camera, diving perfectly to capture powerful footage, and with some top class shots to show. This is the week of Advanced Underwater Cinematography as you learn to take it to the next level and begin learning about film creation.
With further unparalleled pro level shooting, your footage library expands. Learning leads to mastery, in shooting, editing, envisioning, creativity and story exploration. Everything comes together as your dream becomes real. Produce your demo reel, showcase your work and celebrate your success as you master your craft, and your newfound ability to tell your story.

For this retreat, we have secured discounted room blocks at a beautiful small apartment complex, with shared garden and pool for a lower budget, and discounted rooms at a luxury beachfront resort for a higher luxury level.
